How the AI Business Description Analyzer Works

When you describe your business, the AI performs several steps:

1. Tokenization: Splits your description into individual words and phrases.
2. Stop word removal: Filters out common words like "the", "and", "is", "a" that don't carry business meaning.
3. Keyword extraction: Identifies nouns, adjectives, and business-relevant terms.
4. Stemming: Reduces words to their root form (e.g., "selling" → "sell", "roasted" → "roast").
5. Relevance scoring: Prioritizes words that appear early or are emphasized in your description.
6. Domain generation: Uses the extracted keywords with our naming algorithms to create domain candidates.

How the Availability Checker Works

We check each domain's availability using the RDAP protocol (Registration Data Access Protocol), the modern replacement for WHOIS. RDAP is a free, official, open standard run by IANA. When you check a domain:

1. We send a request to rdap.org/domain/yourdomain.com
2. HTTP 404 = the domain is available (not registered).
3. HTTP 200 = the domain is taken (already registered).
4. Checks happen in parallel (3 at a time) for speed, with automatic retries for flaky connections.

This means you get real-time availability data without any API keys, sign-ups, or costs. The checks happen directly from your browser to the official RDAP servers.

Tips for Choosing a Great Domain Name

• Keep it short: Aim for under 15 characters. Shorter domains are easier to type, remember, and share.
• Make it easy to spell: If you have to spell it out for someone, they won't remember it.
• Use .com if possible: Most users still assume .com by default.
• Avoid hyphens and numbers: They're hard to communicate verbally.
• Make it brandable: Made-up words (like "Google", "Spotify") are easier to trademark and more memorable.
• Check social media handles: Ensure the same name is available on Twitter, Instagram, etc.
• Avoid trademark conflicts: Search the USPTO trademark database before registering.
